An update on the land.

What a beautiful day it was at the Glens of Antrim last Saturday.

On the way to the land, I passed Slemish Mountain, where St Patrick lived. I took a photo because I thought you might like to see it.

As you can see from the photos, there is now a driveway, for you to drive and park on your land. Laying small stones, is the only thing we are legally permitted to do because the area is designated an ‘An Area of Outstanding Beauty’.

I was blown away by how much the trees seem to have grown. It is as if they were given some special miracle grow, because they just seem to have all of a sudden sprouted upwards. You will see my grandson in one of the photos, he is two years old, so that will give you an idea of their height.

It is such a joy to see the woodland appear, and it complements the ancient native woodland next door, Craigagh Woods, which was planted by the White Family in 1840.

On the way back, I stopped with the dogs at Waterfoot Beach to walk along the beach. You can literally see the rain moving from the mountain towards us. Luckily, we had already enjoyed plenty of sunshine.

I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support, without you, this woodland would not be protected forever, and would not even exist. YOU DID THAT!!!!
