Considering all the beautiful sunny and rainy weather combined, the entrance was overgrown once again. So, we headed up there this morning to give it a trim with the strimmer. It is amazing to see how much your woodland has grown and how big the trees are now, it is just wonderful. What an amazing gift you have given this wee Island. Thank you so much!!!
Unfortunately, we did not get as much done as we wanted to because we were literally soaked to the skin in the rain, but we will go back again in a few days time.
When you visit, we hope you can persevere with the growth of grass between the trees for now. This will reduce naturally as the trees grow and create a canopy, and before you know it, you will be enjoying the bluebells and all the beautiful ground flora, but it just takes time.
The other option is to spray it with grass killer, but we would prefer not to use chemicals or pesticides, and allow nature do the work naturally. Do you agree? If not, please write to us and let us know your thoughts about this as it is your land and we very much appreciate your input.
When we arrived to land today, the gate was left wide open. Please if you visit, can you close the gate behind you. Thank you in advance.
